Connected ArchitectureSM: Overview
Elluminates Software® Connected ArchitectureSM encompasses five distinct but connected areas of software design and implementation. Each of the five areas are highlighted below.
Architecture
Elluminates Software utilizes software architecture to design and build scalable, reliable, available, and secure software. We do this by using industry best practices, design patterns, software modeling techniques as well as in-depth software expertise. Building enterprise-class architectural blueprints, we construct software designs that follow tested and proven methodologies from the field.
Security
Enterprise-class security is about keeping out intruders but letting in employees, customers and relationships. While the proof of the difficulty in designing and building truly secure software applications is seen every day in the media (or many times behind corporate doors when something has gone wrong), it is possible to tackle and defend against corporate computer threats.
Performance
For something that seems simple, performance is one of the most difficult areas for most companies to deliver on. They focus on delivering "something" versus focusing on designing in optimal algorithms and sound performance based components. At Elluminates Software®, we build high performance software so that end users receive the best experience possible.
Usability
We focus on making software that is enjoyable as well as intuitive to use. We are wary of over-engineered applications with too many features that confuse users. While having everything a project needs to be successful is always our goal, we also aim to try to keep things as manageable as possible. Projects that take months or a year to development may be in production use for many years, and we feel it is our duty to make that long term use by end users as stable and easy to work with as possible.
Quality
We consider Quality to be our number one goal. All of the other areas of Connected ArchitectureSM are specific to areas in the software process: Architecture, Performance, Security and Usability. Quality is part of all of them. It takes the right expertise and knowledge to make something stand out from the crowd. We aim for nothing less of offering a product that we would want to purchase. That means it needs to do what it is designed to do and do more than what is expected when asked.
