Connected ArchitectureSM: Usability
We focus on making software that is enjoyable to use and intuitive. We are wary of over-engineered applications with too many features that confuse users. While having everything a project needs to be successful is always our goal, we also aim to try to keep things as manageable as possible. Projects that take months or a year to development may be in production use for many years, and we feel it is our duty to make that long term use by end users as stable and easy to work with as possible.
Usability is part having users be able to get what they need done as quickly as possible and part having users want to use the system. We take our knowledge of todays best practices and standards and human-computer interface studies to assist us in developing user centric software. When we are working to enhance current software applications that have been built by others, we focus on making them as simple to use and a joy to see.
When you receive a product from us, it will have taken into account all of our experience and input from the areas above. As part of our Project Process, we incorporate our clients' feedback to make sure that the systems act and respond in the manner that allows for them to be successful. And while documentation is part of work, we aim to make software that is never cryptic or in need of a reference manual in normal use.
In the end, we know our focus on usability makes our products a cut above the rest and by incorporating it into Connected ArchitectureSM, we ensure that every project benefits from our enhanced focus.
